Copper Mountain, Colorado, is the venue and 17 Sun Valley snowboarders hope to mine gold at the USASA National Championships later in March.
Andy Gilbert, director of the snowboard program for the Sun Valley Ski Education Foundation, announced Thursday that 17 Sun Valley riders qualified for the event.
"We are very proud, not only of these riders, but the progress of the team as a whole," Gilbert said. "Everyone worked super hard and the up-and-comers are a group to be watched."
