Support Warm Springs Ranch

I support the proposed development of the Warm Springs Ranch. I feel very strongly that those who are opposing this development do not fully understand the positive and necessary impact this will have in our community.

Those of us who have lived in Ketchum/Sun Valley for many years understand the importance of the prosperity of the local community. Ketchum/Sun Valley has relied on tourism for its growth and sustainability and I, along with numerous other Ketchum/Sun Valley locals, fully understand the need for the community to continue to grow.

I am happy that many families have been able to purchase second homes here; unfortunately, it is not enough to sustain a year-round economy.

My understanding is that the main issue of those in opposition is the height of the new development. The amount of second-home owners and neighbors this will affect, in my opinion, is not enough to outweigh the considerable income this project will bring to our community. The view is only slightly obscured for less than one city block. The property is in such disrepair and in place of that will be a top scale resort that we will be proud of and that will entice not only wealthy vacationers, but also tourism that the town desperately needs. Our community will not be able to survive without bringing more income and tourism to town.

Warm Springs Ranch will benefit our community in numerous ways. My hope is that those who are against this can find a way to understand and attempt to keep an open mind.
