Slow down for the deer

This letter is in response to the article about the five deer being hit and killed along Woodside Boulevard in Hailey. I have enjoyed watching them in and around the area for a couple of months now.

The point to this letter is that that people need to start taking responsibility for their actions. Obviously, the driver was speeding, as I have also dodged them myself at 25 miles per hour and don't think anyone could do that type of damage at the posted speed limit.

This same driver left the scene only thinking of him or herself. How thoughtless. When did we become so self-centered? I know there are lots worse things happening in our world today, but it upsets me every time I think about it.
