Gary Gosselin

In his own words, Gary Gosselin "moved on" peacefully in his sleep on Feb. 20, freeing him from the pain of cancer.

There was much to Gary's life. While his passing has left his family and friends feeling a loss, they are comforted knowing he has joined his daughters Angie and Suzanne, both of whom died too young.

Gary was born Dec. 2, 1949, in Puyallup, Wash. He married Janet Wick in 1974. Gary and Janet have lived in Idaho since 1980, first in Sun Valley, then Coeur d'Alene.

Gary was known for many things--his love for family, friends, cooking and cars. He remained positive and undaunted. His constant good nature, sense of humor and quick wit were a joy to all who knew him. His saying was, "If you're happy, then I'm happy." A nephew described him as "suave—like a fine wine."

Gary was a husband and father first, and he led with insight, wisdom and understanding. He was his family's greatest cheerleader and cherished every minute spent together.

Gary is survived by his wife, Janet; daughter Brittany; son, Jeff; parents, Beverly and Richard Gosselin; sisters, Kris Chambard (Ed), Connie Taylor (John) and brother Tim (Mollie); and many nieces and nephews who cherished calling him uncle.

Services were held in Tacoma, Wash. In lieu of flowers please send memorial contributions to St. Vincent DePaul Society, 201 W. Seltice Way, Post Falls, ID 83854.
