Gwen Feggestad, 69, beloved mother of Robin, Traci and Marni, went to be with the Lord peacefully on Jan. 28, 2008.
Gwen raised her beautiful daughters in Minnesota where she lived most of her life. She moved to Hailey four years ago to be close to her daughter Robin Brown and her family. Gwen's heart was filled with the beauty and serenity of the Idaho mountains. She cherished her friends and the animals that brought her so much joy. Gwen's artistic background as an interior designer enabled her to have a creative role in her job at Jane's and RSVP where she worked for several years. Gwen also served a term as a Community Library board member and since then has been a Friend of the Library.
A celebration of her life will take place at Galena Lodge on Feb. 15 at 5:30 p.m. The family has set up a Web site that celebrates Gwen's life in pictures and poetry at www.fortheloveofgwen.com.
Gwen is survived by her "father," Fred Haynie of Mound, Minn.; her former husband, Rollin Feggestad of Stoughton, Wisc.; daughters, Robin (Doug) Brown of Hailey, Idaho, Traci (Dennis) Dokken of Minnetonka, Minn., and Marni (Tom) Sampair of Woodbury, Minn.; and grandchildren, Elizabeth, Jesse, Christie, Nick, Matt, Natalie, Lauren, Jack, Sean and Ryan. Her parents, Patricia Haynie and Howard Skinner, preceded her in death.
