Obama speaks to all of us

The message of Barack Obama could be the one my husband's pioneer ancestors sang as they made their way to Glenn's Ferry, Idaho, in the last century. In the West, individuality and survival in spite of the fiercest of odds has always been part of the landscape. Blazing trails were created where there were no paths.

In Sen. Obama, we have been introduced to a different kind of presidential candidate. He speaks to every one of us, emphasizing that each and every one of us have a voice in making a change in the way our country has been led for many years. Whether Republican, Democrat or Independent, he recognizes our importance and is willing to work with all of us.

His message is one of hope and challenge—a challenge to all of us who recognize the value of our great country and the possibility of achieving the greatness the United States stands for.

A vote for Barack Obama is a vote for unity and the future of America.
