Wrong place to take a snooze

Hailey police arrested a man Sunday morning for allegedly sleeping in a car that wasn't his.

Hailey Police Chief Jeff Gunter identified the suspect as James Michael Allman, 21, of Hailey.

Police were called to a residence on North Fifth Avenue shortly before 8:30 a.m. when a woman reported that a man she didn't know was sleeping in her car and that she was frightened. Once police arrived, Allman was arrested on suspicion of malicious injury to property and unlawful entry. Both are misdemeanors.

Gunter said the car was unlocked, but for reasons unknown the suspect allegedly cracked the front windshield of the vehicle and broke a windshield wiper.
