Clayton M. Davis, of Renton, Wash., died in a boating accident on Dec. 27, 2007. Born in Denver, Colo., on Oct. 21, 1967, to Jackie Meier Davis and Philip T. Davis, Clayton was raised in Denver, Portland, Ore., and Bellevue, Wash. Clayton was a graduate of Brentwood College in British Columbia.
Among Clayton's many sporting and outdoor interests were rowing, skiing, windsurfing, river rafting, fly fishing, duck hunting and sailing. Clayton worked as a river guide for many years, both in Washington and in Idaho. In that role he was able to share his love of the outdoors while also teaching others. Clayton touched many lives and will be remembered for his outgoing nature, and ability to generate smiles and laughter.
Clayton was preceded in death by his mother, Jackie M. Davis. Survivors include his father, Philip T. Davis; sister, Courtney D. Voorhees (Coert); nephew, Blair F. Voorhees, and niece, Elise M. Voorhees; uncle Jim Meier (Mary) and grandmother Mrs. Jack L. Meier.
A memorial will be held at a later date.
