Young racers are heroes in Soldier enduro

Sunday?s two-run race is a big hit

Soldier Mountain Alpine Racing staged a Youth Ski League "Hero Enduro" race Sunday for kids in the J4 through J6 classes (ages 7-11).

Forty-eight kids had a good time on North Ridge run.

It was a two-run race. The first run was a single-gate giant slalom, standard gate format with a fun "pro bump" in the middle of the course. The second run was a single-gate, "hero-gate" slalom. Combined time from both runs determined the race winners.
