Acting on a hot tip, the Bellevue Marshal's Office arrested three Jerome residents last Friday afternoon on various drug charges.

The three were taken into custody at about 3:30 p.m. for an alleged drug deal at an unspecified location in Bellevue. Arrested were Karl J. Valencia, 30, Denise Valencia, 47, and Angelica Maria Castrejon-Luna, 19.

Charges against the suspects, listed in a joint news release issued by the Bellevue Marshal's Office, the Blaine County Sheriff's Office and the county Narcotics Enforcement Team, are:

- Karl Valencia: felony aiding and abetting delivery of methamphetamine, felony possession of cocaine and misdemeanor possession of marijuana.

- Denise Valencia: misdemeanor "being present or having knowledge that someone is in possession of a controlled substance or a delivery is going to be made."

- Castrejon-Luna: felony possession of methamphetamine with intent to deliver.

The news release reports that an investigation involving the three agencies was started after the marshal's office "received information that drugs were being delivered to a location in Bellevue."

"Officers recovered approximately a half ounce of methamphetamine, a small amount of cocaine and a small amount of marijuana," the news release continues.

It further reports that Denise Valencia was released from custody after posting an unspecified bond, while the other two suspects were arraigned on the charges on Sunday.
