Reading the article about the sage grouse in the Express was rather interesting from the standpoint that it sounds a lot like an article that appeared in "Steelhead, Trout, Salmon" magazine last month.
The similarities are that there were ranting and ravings about cattle invading the salmon spawning beds in streams in Washington state, which is a lie.
There are similar statements in Judge Winmill's court ruling. I have a hunch that Jon Marvel or someone on his staff helped or greatly influenced the judge's decision and writings.
In lieu of the judge's statement that McDonald is "not a sage grouse expert," I would ask what makes he or Jon Marvel "experts?" Marvel is a trained architect. And anyone who would sit in a warm building with a good roof and wear a black robe makes me wonder?
