Sun Valley Co. reported Tuesday that after receiving 3 more inches of snow on Bald Mountain, the Seattle Ridge ski area, lift and lodge are now open, as is the Mayday lift to get people out of Seattle Ridge.

Of the bowls, only Christmas is open.

Cold Springs lift remains closed, as does the Frenchman's lift, though the runs under it—upper Can-Can, upper French Dip and Lilly Marlane—are open. There are many other runs still not open, including Hemingway, Cozy and Greyhawk runs on Warm Springs, and Fire Trail on Seattle Ridge.

Currently, the snow depth total on Baldy is 57 inches, which includes natural and man-made snow.

Snow is in the forecast, so skiers can expect more terrain to be opened as conditions allow. Snow was called for overnight on Tuesday with a possible accumulation of 2 to 4 inches. Today, there is another chance of snow with an accumulation of 1 to 3 inches.

Lifts to the top of the mountain operate from 9 a.m. to 3:45 p.m. Exhibition will run from 9 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. and then Sunnyside takes over from 1:30 to 4 p.m. The Seattle Ridge lift runs until 3 p.m.

On Dollar Mountain, every lift is open and the new lifts are complete and running. Mountain workers are preparing the new terrain park this week with a possible opening on Sunday, Dec. 23.
