Randall Atwood


Randall "Randy" Atwood, age 47, passed away peacefully in his sleep of an apparent heart attack on Sunday, Dec. 9, 2007, at his home in Hailey.

He was born Jan. 8, 1960, in St. Anthony, Idaho, the child of Milton Frank Atwood and Lola Clark. Randy attended school in St. Anthony before joining the National Guard. He was a heavy machinist in the National Guard for six years. Randy worked as a trucker, ranch hand, machine operator and built fences. He enjoyed fixing cars and making car models. Randy was a volunteer fire fighter for Dietrich and an EMT for Shoshone.

Randy loved everyone who could have a good time with him and shared his love. He would not want anyone to cry, just remember the memories. Remember, no matter where we go he will always be in our hearts.

Survivors include his son, Roderick Atwood, and grandson, Braydyn; his daughters, Roxann and Rachel Atwood, all of Carey; his sister Cathy (Bud) Payne of Idaho Falls and his brother Roger (Vinnie) Atwood of Rigby. Those preceding him in death were his parents and his brother D. Lynn Atwood.

A viewing will be held from 1 p.m. to 8 p.m., Thursday, Dec. 13, 2007, at the Wood River Chapel in Hailey. Memorial services will be at 1 p.m., Friday, Dec. 14, 2007, at the Wood River Chapel. There will be services in St. Anthony at 1 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 15, 2007, at the Bidwell Funeral Home. Interment will follow at the Parker Cemetery.

Memorial contributions are suggested to the Wells Fargo Bank and Mountain West Bank in Hailey for family expenses. A benefit for the Atwood family will be held at the Hailey Hotel on Saturday, Dec. 15, 2007.

Arrangements are under the care of Wood River Chapel of Hailey, Idaho.
