Erma McDonald of Twin Falls, Idaho, passed away on Dec. 4, 2007, of natural causes at the age of 95.
She was born Aug. 11, 1912, in Deerfield, Kan., of Louis and Marie DeKeyser, originally from Belgium.
She later moved to Twin Falls, Idaho, and married John H. McDonald Sr.; a farmer of Twin Falls and Kimberly, Idaho, he preceded her in passing on July 25, 1990.
John and Erma raised four children, two boys and two girls: JoAnn Etherington of Kimberly, Idaho, (Dean Etherington), John McDonald Jr. of Ketchum, Idaho (Lois McDonald), Jeannie Sligar of Kimberly, Idaho, and Jack McDonald of Twin Falls, Idaho (Charlene McDonald).
Erma was grandmother to nine grandchildren: David McDonald, Michelle McDonald Choate, Johnny McDonald, Cathy Vance, Elizbeth Lee, James Etherington, Carl McDonald, Dale McDonald and Scott McDonald.
And great-grandmother of 13; great-great grandmother of six.
She is survived by two sisters, Ann Johnston of Twin Falls, Idaho, and Mable Johnson of Gooding, Idaho. She was preceded in passing by three brothers and two sisters.
She loved life and family and will greatly be missed. She will be remembered in our hearts and the hearts of the many she touched and cared for. Our prayers and memories of Erma will be lovingly cherished and her spirit and love of life will live on with us all.
Private family services were held Saturday, Dec. 8, at Parke's Funeral Chapel with final resting at Sunset Memorial Park cemetery.
