Scott USA expands bike group

Ketchum-based Scott USA has announced the addition of Engin Yesilyemis to its U.S. bicycle group. Yesilyemis will join the bike marketing department in the Ketchum offices.

"Engin is full of energy and enthusiasm, which is just what this growing bike company needs to continue to thrive," said Adrian Montgomery, marketing director.

Yesilyemis was born in Izmir, Turkey. He began his bicycle adventures at a young age and in 1998 he had his first taste of competitive mountain biking. His interest in racing led him to become a race promoter in his hometown, organizing its first mountain bike racing series.

Yesilyemis will be responsible for media relations including price inquiries, Web content for the Scott USA bicycle Web site and event coordination.

INL recognized for business program

The Idaho National Laboratory was recognized for its small business program at the 2007 Governor's Business Opportunity Conference in Boise.

Idaho Lt. Governor Jim Risch congratulated the INL Small Business Program "for fostering the success of local enterprises," according to an INL news release.

Greg Wray, INL director of supply chain management, spoke to the conference about opportunities to partner with the INL.

"The lieutenant governor commented on his dealings with other states and how through these interactions it is apparent that the Idaho National Laboratory is a significant asset to the state of Idaho," Wray said. "We want the people of Idaho to recognize the value and benefits associated with Idaho National Laboratory and our commitment to Idaho."

The site, http://marketing.scottusa.com, will provide cycling media with price lists, product details, and photos, hopefully reducing the amount of waste typically created through printed material.
