A California professional photographer accused of committing sex acts with two underage sisters from Ketchum pleaded not guilty Monday in Blaine County 5th District Court.
Christopher Scott Honeysett, 42, entered his plea at arraignment before Judge Robert J. Elgee. Alongside Honeysett at the defendant's table was Ketchum attorney Andrew Parnes, who Honeysett had hired as defense counsel.
Honeysett has been charged with two counts of lewd conduct with a minor child under 16, an offense in Idaho punishable by up to life in prison. He is accused of engaging in sex acts with the sisters, ages 14 and 15, on the evening of Aug. 9 on the roof of the Jones Building at the corner of Fourth and Main streets in downtown Ketchum.
Court records state that Honeysett, a San Francisco artistic photographer, was in Ketchum at the time displaying photographs at the Sun Valley Center Arts and Crafts Festival.
Honeysett waived a preliminary hearing on the charges in Blaine County Magistrate Court in September. He is currently free on $100,000 bond.
Honeysett requested a jury trial, which was scheduled to start at 9 a.m. on March 25 and is expected to last three days. A pre-trial conference was set for 9 a.m. on March 10.
