Students return from conference

Last week, St. Luke's Youth Adult Konnections sent four local teenagers to participate in the 2007 Search Institute Service-Learning Conference, Nov. 7 to 11 in Rochester, N.Y. The theme for the conference was Transforming Relationships: For the Common Good. Jose Ruiz, Carly Gustafson, Sonia Lopez and Brandon Beall are all members of YAK's Blaine County Teen Advisory Council and were selected through an interview process with adult members of YAK.

The four were chosen based on previous service work, interest in the subject matter, leadership potential and ability to communicate their acquired knowledge, upon return from Rochester, to other youths in Blaine County.
