Rusty Blades lace up the skates

Senior hockey tournament in SV

John Heinrich's Ketchum Rangers and Buck Drew's Sun Valley Holdings are the local senior men's hockey teams in this weekend's Sun Valley Season Opener five-team tourney at Sun Valley Skating Center.

Ketchum Rangers and Sun Valley Holdings kick off the action today, Nov. 16 at 5:10 p.m. The Rangers are back on the ice at 7:30 p.m. tonight against the Wyoming Wolves.

Two more Rangers games are lined up for Saturday at 11:20 a.m. against Flying Zambonis and 1:40 p.m. against Boise Blues Brothers.

Meanwhile, Sun Valley Holdings also face off against Zambonis Saturday at 9 a.m. and have two more Saturday—12:30 p.m. against Wyoming and 6:20 p.m. against Boise.

The third-place game is Sunday at 9 a.m. and championship game at 10:10 a.m. In all, 12 games are planned over the tournament's three days.
