Why is it that this valley does not want any more fast-food restaurants in it? Let me tell you what I think. This valley has its eyes closed to the middle and lower classes. It seems people are only interested in keeping high-priced restaurants running in this valley. They forget that locals cannot enjoy those restaurants as much as we would like because one meal with the family is one week's pay for most.
This valley needs more than McDonald's (even their prices are rising constantly) and Subway. We need variety; how about a Taco Bell or a KFC? We can bring in an Albertsons, so why can't we bring in an affordable family establishment that is quick and easy for the hard workers of the lower class, or anybody for that matter? The old Smoky's building is empty once again—how about a family buffet?
Although this valley wants to keep up appearances and a high-priced attitude, I think it is high time to start thinking about everyone that lives in the valley, not just the visitors and upper class.
