Interested football players ages 18-and-up are invited to an open house for the Magic Valley Bulldawgs semi-pro/amateur team that plays during the spring in the 21-team Rocky Mountain Football League (RMFL). The open house will be held Thursday, Nov. 15, at 7 p.m. in the Jerome High School cafeteria. Pizza and drinks will be served.
The new Bulldawgs owner and general manager, Ben Landrian (208-358-1469), said he will talk to those attending the Nov. 15 open house about pre-season workouts and expectations. Coaches will be introduced including second-year head coach Jesse Houdeshell. Marketing director and player personnel manager Mark Lambert (208-308-7451) will attend.
Open tryouts for the Bulldawgs will be held the second week of January 2008, Landrian said, and practices will begin in February. The season runs March through June. Home games are played at Jerome High School. Players aren't paid but travel costs are covered and uniforms are provided.
Last year's team went 6-4 and featured players from Jerome, Filer, Twin Falls, Wendell, Pocatello and other southern Idaho cities. For more information on the league visit rockymountainfootball.com.
