More 24-hour Moab results


Last Friday the Mountain Express published results of Wood River Valley mountain bike racers who competed at the 13th annual EAS (Energy Athletics Strength) 24 Hours of Moab team relay races presented by Grannygear Oct. 13-14 in southern Utah.

Here are some more:

Reed Melton, 39, of Bellevue and Sun Summit South, finished 26th in the Men's Solo class and 315th overall with a 10-lap time of 13.24:19.

Winning the Women's Sport class and placing 182nd overall with a 14-lap time of 12.42:43 was the local Hot Potatoes squad of Shana Sweitzer, 33, Lisa Scales, 32, Megan Stevenson, 31, and Brett Stevenson, 29.

In Men's Sport, "Where's the Ski Lift?" was 20th of 92 teams in its class and 83rd overall with a 16-lap time of 13.16:23. The racers were Don Wiseman, 52, Matt McNeal, 27, Zach Latham, 28, and Dave Bell, 51.

Sun Valley's Sam Cochran was on Grundlepigs' 5-Person Men's squad that placed 20th with a nine-lap time of 8.47:23.
