Richfield dominates All-League volleyball

Northside Conference volleyball champion Richfield, which finished the 2007 season at 21-6, dominated the selections for the All-Northside Conference team that was announced this week.

But one Wood River Valley girl made the first team. The Community School's Amaya Ingram was selected to the top squad along three players from Richfield and two from Dietrich.

Several other Community School and Carey High School players were selected to the second team or received honorable mention.

"Coach of the Year" was Norm Rock of Richfield.

Here are the selections:

First team: Amaya Ingram (Community School); Kimber Swainston, Krista Allen and Morgan Hubsmith (Richfield); Jesse Dill and Tammy Anderson (Dietrich).

Second team: Khrystyne Inman and Caroline Fairchild (Community School); Taylor Astle, Jenny Perron and Kelci Dalton (Shoshone); and Lea Piper (Richfield).

Honorable mention: Kayla Bailey, Katie Patterson, Chelsey Hunt and Jenni Cenarrusa (Carey); Shawnee Brew (Community School); Mollie McLam and Kayme Backstrom (Camas County); Shaynee Gulliford (Shoshone); Teenie Kent and Kimberly Twitchell (Richfield); Shasta Towne, Ashley Conner and Nakia Norman (Dietrich).
