Joan Lamb would be an outstanding choice for the Sun Valley City Council. She has strong views on environmental protection while stimulating quality growth. She is an advocate of regional approaches to government for many services.

For example, she played a significant role in transferring the Ketchum/Sun Valley-focused KART public bus system into a regional multimoda1 transportation agency. While chairing the Sun Valley Planning and Zoning Commission, she moved through, in an expedient yet conscientious fashion, many excellent projects such as the Sun Valley Co.'s new summer symphony pavilion.

Her background in investment banking would be an excellent asset to conscientious fiscal management for Sun Valley. We have worked together closely on the Mountain Rides Transportation Authority Board and as chair of our Finance Committee she led the preparation of our 2007-2008 budget. All of the board members gave her super-high marks for its clarity and fiscally responsible presentation.
