Sun Valley Taekwondo competes in Boise

Eleven Sun Valley Taekwondo Inc. students competed last weekend at the Boise Open Taekwondo Tournament at Sawtooth Middle School in Meridian.

In the girls' competition, Nicole Shardlow took the gold in both forms and sparring in the white belt division and Mackenzie Shardlow won the silver in both forms and sparring in the yellow belt group. Ashley Shardlow took the bronze in forms and the silver in sparring in the green belt competition.

In the boys' events, white belt division: Tyler Kino took a bronze in both forms and sparring and Ryan Munro won silver in forms and sparring.

Boys' white advanced division: Pat Magee took gold in both forms and sparring.

Boys' green belt division: Both Derek Thompson and Timo Gould took a bronze in forms and a gold in sparring.

Boys' blue belt division: Trenor Gould won a bronze in forms and a silver in sparring and Grady Kassner took silver in forms and bronze in sparring.

Boys' red belt division: Luke Robertson took the silver in forms and gold in sparring.
