Marshal?s office investigates Bellevue burglary

The Bellevue Marshal's Office is investigating the theft of an undisclosed amount of cash from the office of the High Country Motel on the city's Main Street.

Marshal Tim Green said the theft occurred sometime between 4:30 a.m. and 3 p.m. on Sunday. He said the office was apparently left unlocked when the theft occurred.

He declined to say how much money was taken, but said some of it may have been pilfered from the motel's safe.

Green was still conducting interviews and taking statements on Monday.
