Jazz festival sells special pass

The Sun Valley Swing 'n' Dixie Jazz Jamboree is offering 300 $30 passes to Blaine County residents to attend all 11 one-hour shows to be held at the Sun Valley indoor ice rink after 5 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 17, through Saturday, Oct. 20.

From every pass sale, $3 will be donated to firefighters to celebrate the end of the fire season. Passes will be available Tuesday, Oct. 16, at the festival registration area in the Sun Valley Lodge. Current identification will be required.

Craig focus of public TV

Idaho reporters this weekend will discuss Idaho Sen. Larry Craig's recent political decisions on Idaho Public Television's show Dialogue with Marcia Franklin. The previously taped show—which aired this week—will re-air on Sunday, Oct. 14, at 5:30 p.m. on Channel 10.

Bellevue chamber meeting set

The Bellevue Chamber of Commerce will meet on Tuesday, Oct. 16, at 5:30 p.m. at the Smiling Dog Deli in the Bellevue Square. At the meeting, there will be an election of new board members, committees, and ambassadors for the chamber.

Business Showcase in Sun Valley

The Sun Valley/Ketchum Chamber & Visitors Bureau will host the 15th annual Business Showcase at the Limelight Room at the Sun Valley Inn on Thursday, Nov. 8, from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m.

The showcase is a free event that allows local businesses to display their products and services to the public. The community is invited to meet local businesses, enjoy food and win prizes.

Booth registration is open to all chamber members from Sun Valley, Ketchum, Bellevue, and Hailey, with a Friday, Nov. 2, deadline. For more information, contact Stefany Mahoney at 725-2105.

Plant an autumn tree

During the month of October, people can join the Arbor Day Foundation for $10 and receive 10 trees as part of the Trees for America campaign.

The trees are sugar maples, red maples, scarlet oak, sweetgum, northern red oak, silver maple, white flowering dogwood and Washington Hawthorne.
