Part-time Ketchum firefighter and well-respected adventure athlete Rebecca Rusch, 39, threw a party Sunday at The Elephant's Perch in Ketchum to celebrate her 24-Hour World Championship mountain bike title and what she called "a killer season of racing." Rusch was the Elite women's winner of the ninth annual World Solo 24 Hours of Adrenalin mountain bike contest near Monterey, Ca. Sept. 2. She was the fastest over 16 laps on a challenging 13.74-mile (22 kilometer) loop.
