Would you like a bagel with that bestseller? Well, you will soon be able to grab a pastry and organic coffee while you read Proust or a bagel and cream cheese while you read Cheever.

Longtime Ketchum fixture Iconclast Books is giving up its Main Street location and moving into a larger space in the modern Christiania building at Sun Valley Road and Spruce Avenue, and the longtime bookstore will have a café.

"We plan on being open Dec. 1," said Gary Hunt, who owns the business with his wife, Sarah Hedrick.

The owners are making the move from their current 3,300-square-foot multi-level space in a historic brick building at Main and Second streets to a 4,500-square-foot space all on one level.

"With big, wide sidewalks and the other retail in that part of town, it makes more sense," Hunt said. "It's sad to lose the historic brick ambiance but we will replace it with something better."

Hunt and Hedrick expect to be able to seat up to 100 customers indoors and out. Hunt said he and Hedrick have operated Iconclast Books for 14 years in Ketchum, and they also have a Sun Valley location. They closed their Hailey store due to a lack of business there.
