Sun Valley skaters compete in Boise


Four Sun Valley Figure Skating Club athletes competed last weekend at the 2007 Boise Ice Classic. All four of the competitors skated well enough to win medals at the event, a U.S. Figure Skating Future Champions competition for juvenile, intermediate and novice skaters.

Medals were awarded to the first through fourth place winners.

Julia Lamb placed third in the Ladies Short program and took sixth in Novice Freeskating.

Gracie Eagan placed fourth in both Non-test Freeskating and High/Non-test Showcase.

Lauren Jacobs took third in Low Freeskating Compulsory Moves and placed fourth in Low Freeskating.

Abby Chase placed fourth in Low Showcase and took fifth in Compulsory Moves.

Sun Valley figure skaters will compete next at the Oktoberfest 2007 Figure Skating Competition in Salt Lake City on Sept. 20-22.

On Oct. 16-20 SVFSC skaters will participate in The 2008 Northwest Pacific Regional Championships in Seattle.
