A jury trial has been scheduled for early next year in an attempted murder case against Deborah A. Reimer, accused of firing two shots at her former boyfriend at his home in south Ketchum in July.

The trial, set to start Jan. 15 in Blaine County 5th District Court, is expected to last five days.

Reimer, 54, has been charged with second-degree attempted murder for allegedly firing two shots at 59-year-old Robert Dreyer on July 18 at his home at Glade Court.

Reimer remains incarcerated in the Gooding County Jail on a $500,000 bond. She is being held there because the Blaine County Jail does not have long-term accommodations for female inmates.

Attempts by Hailey attorney Keith Roark to have bail reduced for Reimer have thus far been unsuccessful. Roark is representing Reimer under The Roark Law Firm's public defender contract with Blaine County.

Roark argued at a court hearing last week that bond is excessive and that hard evidence against his client is questionable.

"This is not a slam dunk case," Roark told the court.
