Thoughts from afar

As a former Sun Valley Ski Instructor I followed the unfortunate Castle Rock Fire on your Web site day by day and would like to express my personal feelings to the beloved Wood River Valley.

Many of us former Sun Valley Instructors in Austria share this feeling toward all of you and send all the blessings from the Austrian mountains to your great community.

Mountain people are always dealing with Mother Nature, but are strong and optimistic in not giving up and forcing those bitter elements and times.

As you are still very fortunate to be able to live in an exceptional and world-class resort such as Sun Valley there will be a great future for all of you even under the impression of the very tough times present.

All your attitudes toward the outdoors and nature, your kindness and as we call it "Herzlichkeit," the drive for sports and economics, the "Valley Spirit" that we all still have in mind will for sure bring the blessings you need after what happened the past weeks.

The very best wishes from many of us and moments of strong sympathy.
