Appoint a Democrat

If the person named to replace Sen. Larry Craig were to be a Democrat, there's no way there would be any pressure from his fellow Republicans to resign. They wouldn't give up a seat in the Senate for some men's room incident whether guilty or not.

Gov. Otter, you ought to shake up Washington and appoint a Democrat, someone like myself—I wouldn't mind doing some "filibustering."
