I have never written a letter to a newspaper before. However, after this morning I felt I really needed to.
The fire has been so stressful for everyone living in town, and this past weekend was heightened. On Sunday night I kept checking blainecounty.com and there was nothing on the fire progress—inci.web.org was apparently overloaded, so I went to bed concerned.
I woke up Monday morning wanting to know where the fire spread, and I decided that I should check the Idaho Mountain Express.
There was the update with the information I needed, an article on the firefighters' Sunday evening strategy meeting. I just wanted to thank you for providing me with the information I needed in a very stressful time. Also, the daily reports in printed form are beyond the call of duty—the team at Idaho Mountain Express is truly remarkable and valued immensely in this valley.
A big thanks.
