"Big Little" by Leslie Patricelli

Iconoclast Books will host a book event from 6 to 8 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 31, with artist Leslie Patricelli.

A children's book author and illustrator who participated in Off the Page earlier this year with the Sun Valley Center for the Arts, Patricelli's paintings have adorned the walls of Iconoclast Books ever since.

As an Off the Page artist, she led a number of painting workshops and contributed to the Center's gallery exhibition with paintings from her acclaimed children's board books.

The paintings, which come from some of our favorite books such as "Yummy Yucky" and "Big Little" are for sale, and a price list is available at the store.

Patricelli and her family are now residents of the Wood River Valley. Iconoclast invited Patricelli and her work back for a special event in conjunction with this summer's final Gallery Walk. Though the Gallery walk was canceled, Iconoclast owner Gary Hunt recognizes that life must go on.

"We have to forge ahead," Hunt said.

There will be wine and hors d'oeuvres for book and art lovers of all ages.
