Museum looks for helping hands

The Heritage & Ski Museum in Ketchum needs individuals willing to help showcase the unique and rich heritage of the Wood River Valley by greeting visitors and hosting the museum during normal operational hours.

"Individuals with a warm smile and pleasant demeanor can volunteer on a regular or an as-needed basis," said museum director Donna Simms.

To assist in keeping the legacies and traditions of Sun Valley and Ketchum alive and thriving and for more information, contact Simms at 726-8118.

Adaptive Sports boosts board

At a recent board meeting, Sun Valley Adaptive Sports voted to approve four new board members: Hayward Sawyer, Rebecca Neeley, Erin Rheinschild, and Jack Rutherford.

"SVAS is extremely fortunate to add such wonderful depth of knowledge and experience to its board," said Jen Smith, board chair. "Organizationally, I couldn't ask for better community-minded and supportive individuals."

Earlier in the year, Sergeant Joe Danes was approved as a board member, and retired lance corporal Joe Lowe was approved as an advisory board member.

"Wounded in Iraq, these service members will provide insight into the healing and therapeutic work the organization does with wounded service members returning from war," said SVAS Executive Director Tom Iselin.
