At last weekend's Idaho State Championship mountain bike finals south of McCall, Tamarack Resort's Keith Hickerson and Hailey's Cody Peterson flip-flopped the Pro Men's results of the Aug. 4 White Knob Challenge in Mackay.
Hickerson won Saturday's three-lap, 27-mile cross-country race at Tamarack Resort with a time of two hours and 28:21 minutes, four minutes ahead of Peterson. Peterson and Hickerson had placed 1-2 in the Mackay race two weeks ago.
There were 125 racers in Saturday's Knobby Tire Series double-points race at Tamarack. The Idaho State Championship cross-country finals boasted a $2,000 pro purse thanks to Tamarack Resort. It was part of the USA Cycling MTB National XC calendar.
Among local class winners were Dave Bell, Austin Bourret, Sandy Fahey and Carl Praeger. Results from Tamarack follow:
