Aug. 27, the first day of school for the 2007-2008 school year, is just around the corner, and parents need to organize their children's records and keep several key dates in mind before registration.
New students or students entering preschool or kindergarten in the Blaine County School District must provide district officials with original state certificates of birth and immunization records. Immunization histories must include four doses of diphtheria, tetanus and pertussis (DTP), four doses of polio vaccination, two doses of measles, mumps and rubella (MMR), and three doses of hepatitis b vaccine.
In addition, new students must provide proof of physical address, not a P.O. Box. This can include a phone bill, utility bill, and mortgage or rental lease. The above must be on record with the school prior to the first day of school.
Students entering kindergarten must be 5 years old on or before Sept. 1, 2007.
Wood River Middle School registration:
· Sixth Grade Aug. 14, 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. students with last names M-Z. From 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. students with last names A-L.
· Seventh Grade Aug. 15, 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. students with last names M-Z. From 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. students with last names A-L.
· Eighth Grade Aug. 16, 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. students with last names M-Z. From 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. students with last names A-L. Make-up session for all students from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
Wood River High School:
· Senior registration Aug. 16, from 8 a.m. to 8:45 a.m. last names A-C. From 8:45 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. last names D-H. From 9:30 a.m. to 10:15 a.m. last names I-M. From 10:15 a.m. to 11 a.m. last names N-S. From 11 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. last names T-Z.

Students who miss their assigned day can register Aug. 23 from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.
Carey registration:
· All grades Aug. 15, 1 p.m. to 8 p.m.
Hailey Elementary:
· Aug. 22 class lists will be posted on the main office doors.
· Aug. 24 parents have the opportunity to meet the teachers from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.
· From Aug. 20 to Aug. 24 the school store is open from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
All elementary students new to the Blaine County School District need to register for school by Aug. 17.
