New Zealand racer wins Galena Grinder marathon

More than 60 bikers compete in mountain race

A biker from New Zealand topped a field of more than 60 racers to win last weekend's Galena Grinder 45-mile marathon event.

Stuart Houltham clocked at time of 3:36:35 for an overall first place finish and top honors in the Pro Men class. Second place went to Oregon racer Evan Plews with a time of 3:40:13. Taking third was Travis Brown of Colorado at 3:45:29.

Lynn Stott recorded the best time among women competitors, finishing the race at 4:37:15 to take top honors in the Pro Women category. Second was Mary Ann Ozier with a time of 4:43:53, and third was India Wysong at 4:57:24. All three women listed Idaho as their residence.

The top junior racer was Jushua Berry, Idaho, who won the Junior Expert Men 17-19 class with a time of 4:28:33.
