Brian E. Peterson

Brian E. Peterson passed away Thursday evening, July 26, surrounded by love, rolling thunder and brilliant lightning. He lived his life with remarkable courage, tenacity, dignity and passion—in his work, his gourmet cooking, and the many hours he logged as a private pilot.

Brian loved to take family and friends on flights, cook them meals, and put all at ease with his radiant smile and quiet strength. He had deep devotion for his immediate and extended family, and he was a loyal and trusted friend. Brian was well known in the business community for many years, while establishing several successful companies.

He is survived by his wife, Camile Drew, and daughters, Dana (husband Bill Faries) and Sara Peterson.

Brian was born Aug. 7, 1951, to Reed L. Peterson (preceded in death) and Myra D. Carlstrom in Rexburg, Idaho. The fourth of six children, Brian is also survived by his sisters, Julie Buhler (husband John), Suzanne Mumford (husband Drew); brothers, Douglas (wife Jessica), Barry (wife Candace) and Steve L.; an abundance of devoted nephews and nieces; and his dogs, Millie and Max.

His advice was invaluable, his humor ever-present. He was simply respected by all.

Keep flying, Brian. We love you dearly.

In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the Southern Utah Wilderness Alliance or the University of Utah Alumni Association, two of Brian's favorite charities.
