Three Wood River Valley residents were transported to St. Luke's Wood River Medical Center following a one-vehicle rollover Saturday night in Picabo.

Blaine County sheriff's spokesman Lt. Jay Davis said the accident occurred shortly before 10:30 p.m. when Gregory Lee Edwards, a 27-year-old Hailey man, swerved to miss a "dog or fox" and lost control of his vehicle, a black 2005 Toyota 4-Runner.

"He swerved to miss it, overcorrected and rolled over on his top," Davis said.

He said Edwards, driving east, had slowed down upon entering Picabo before encountering the animal.

Of the seven people in the vehicle, a Wood River Fire and Rescue ambulance transported three to the hospital with head, neck or shoulder pain. Transported were Trenton Peterson, 27, of Hailey, Melinda Milner, 23, of Ketchum, and Anna Edwards, 27, of Hailey.

Davis said none of the injuries was life threatening.

"There were no citations issued in this incident," he said.
