Patrons 'let 'er buck' at ball

Last week, 450 patrons were corralled at the Sagebrush Arena north of Hailey for a benefit to support the Sagebrush Equine Training Center therapeutic riding program. The indoor riding arena was decorated to the theme of "The Spirit of the Horse."

Guests were treated to a dinner show that featured the fabulous Vuarnettes and dancing to the Doo-Wah Riders. This guest speaker was Ketchum resident Teresa Hukari, who was paralyzed during a ski accident on Bald Mountain two years ago. Participating twice a week at the Sagebrush has helped Hukari to regain core strength and improve balance.

The proceeds generated from the auction and sponsorship of scholarships will be used to fund all Sagebrush programs including therapy for more than 200 challenged adults and children who participate in equine-assisted therapy on a weekly basis.
