Thanks, Fairfield

To the people of Fairfield and Camas County: On behalf of all the members of my administration, please accept my profound thanks for your hospitality and the great civic virtue you displayed on the occasion of the Capital for a Day event in your community on Tuesday, July 17.

Indeed, other towns in Idaho that are designated "Capital for a Day" will be hard pressed to match the level of community spirit, justifiable pride and sense of family that resides in Fairfield.

Sen. Clint Stennett, D-Ketchum, Rep. Wendy Jaquet, D-Ketchum, Mayor David Hanks, Camas County commissioners, folks at High Country Fusion and the Camas Senior Center, and everyone who participated in the day's events deserve the highest of praise for making Fairfield such a great place to live, work and raise a family.

As an Idaho native and former member of Congress, it was especially nice to be among folks who share my love of Idaho's natural resources, heritage and rural values. Rest assured that I will cherish the memories of my day with you throughout my time as governor and beyond.

As Always—Idaho, "Esto Perpetua."

C.L. "Butch" Otter

Idaho governor
