FINAL FIRST-HALF RESULTS

Evans Plumbing 13, Power Engineers 12 (8 innings)

Jim Chatterton's game-winning infield single drove home Lisa Nilsen for the extra-inning decider to a good back-and-forth ball game. It was tied 5-5 after two frames, then Power went ahead 9-7 in the fourth and Evans retained the lead 11-10 after five. Evans held Power scoreless in the top of the eighth, then Kassidy drilled a one-out single up the middle and old Steve rammed a double off the shortstop's glove. Chatterton (4 hits, double) came up with two outs and ended the game with a well-placed grounder that gave Evans the #1 seed in the Lower Division for the second half of the season.

Pioneer West/Swaner Welding 12, The Life Church 10

Pioneer moved up to the #4 seed with a 7-run first inning, then the winners held off a Life Church 5-run rally in the fifth. The final Lower Division standings were Evans #1, Life Church #2, BARMuda #3, Pioneer #4 and Power #5.
