Visitors, welcome to our shops

Visitors who come to the valley to enjoy the countless amenities of small-town life in the mountains quickly discover a quality of our shops and businesses that's rare in today's modern, big city malls.

Personal service.

Store clerks are quick to ask shoppers, "Did you find what you want?" And they have time to help in finding what's just right.

As visitors with an eye for the special can attest, stores and shops up and down the valley also are more likely to stock unique brands of merchandise that typify boutique retailing, rather than rows and rows of goods with the same names and uniform colors and lack of distinction found in mall outlets. Visitors then return home with house wares, clothing, shoes, kiddies' merchandise, kitchenwares, mountain-town souvenirs and more only carried by Wood River Valley merchants.

Summers have emerged as major economic boom times for valley businesses and for visitors shopping for bargains and memorable gifts. As more summer shoppers have placed more demands on merchants, shops and stores have increased the wider selection of merchandise.

We encourage visitors to not only enjoy the bountiful beauty of the valley and the outdoor recreation activities that've made us world famous, but to add to their experience and memories by taking in the rich variety of shops and stores that stock exceptional wares.

Successful merchants mean that when visitors return again they'll find an even more inviting shopping experience as they sample people-friendly shops in an unhurried village atmosphere.
