Vonnegut had it right

Regarding the recent removal of the diagonal parking on Fourth Street west of Main in Ketchum:

In "Time Quake" Kurt Vonnegut advised, "They say the first thing to go when you're old is your legs or your eyesight. It isn't true. The first thing to go is parallel parking."

Given the steady increase of the gray-haired population in Ketchum, perhaps someone should have been re-reading their Vonnegut.

The new icy ramp parallel parking spaces between First Avenue and the post office alley may be particularly challenging this winter.
