A Gooding man was issued two citations following an alleged road rage incident south of Bellevue on Tuesday, June 19.

The Blaine County Sheriff's Office reported Monday that Douglas Livingston, 42, was issued misdemeanor citations for alleged reckless driving and leaving the scene of an accident.

Sheriff's Lt. Ron Taylor said Livingston, driving a Toyota pickup, is accused of striking a Honda driven by Thomas Smith, a 41-year-old Shoshone man, at about 6:30 p.m. on June 19.

Taylor said both drivers were southbound on state Highway 75 south of Bellevue when the incident occurred. He said Livingston reported that he became upset when Smith passed him on a double yellow line and then stayed in front of Livingston and wouldn't let him pass.

The lieutenant reported that Livingston then rammed the back of the Smith vehicle three times.

Taylor said the citations were issued after Smith reported the incident the following morning.
