Sharon Kay Cutler


Sharon Kay Cutler, age 70, passed away on Sunday, June 10, 2007, after fighting cancer for the last seven months.

She was born Dec. 11, 1936, in Montrose, Colo., the child of Sidney and Molly Fender. She moved with her family to Hailey in 1945 where she met and later married her husband of 53 years, Don Cutler. It was on June 5, 1954, she married Don in Las Vegas, Nev., and they moved to the Stanley basin to begin their life together. In 1960, she became a mother to her son, Pat, and then three years later gave birth to her daughter, Barb. Three years ago, they moved back to the Wood River Valley to their home in Bellevue.

Sharon went through life being a housewife, mother, grandmother and more recently a great-grandmother. She did not know a stranger and was friendly to everyone she crossed paths with. She will be missed by everyone who had ever known her.

Survivors include her husband, Don; son, Pat (Maya) Cutler of Stanley; daughter, Barb (Delbert, JR) McMurdo of Fairfield; grandson Kyle Cutler of Twin Falls; granddaughter Stacie (John) Cronquist of Fairfield; granddaughter Michelle McMurdo of Fairfield; granddaughter Tara Cutler of Payette and great-granddaughter Nevaeh Cutler of Twin Falls; her brother Fred (Carol) Fender of Jerome; sister-in-law Joyce (Gene) Yourn of Caldwell; and many nieces and nephews. Those preceding her in death were her parents and a granddaughter, Misti McMurdo.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m., Thursday, June 14, 2007, at the Wood River Chapel in Hailey with Rev. Tad Walton officiating. Interment will follow in the Hailey Cemetery.

Arrangements are under the care of Wood River Chapel of Hailey, Idaho.
