Chip-in golfers gather for Advocates

May 14 at Blue Lakes


The weather was beautiful, the course spectacular and the winners delighted during the first annual "Chip-In for The Advocates" golf tournament held at Blue Lakes Country Club in Twin Falls May 14.

Torene Bonner, Rick Davis, Joanne and Dick Wetherell organized the one-day tournament that drew 88 golfers.

The Hawaiian theme was fun. All the golfers wore leis and found goodie bags covered with flowers.

Winning Long Drive on #16 were Barrett Molter and Janet Cantor. Taking Closest to the Hole on #15 were J. Haskell and Sharon Curley.

First net was the team of Spence, Bonner, Hutchinson and Hutchinson. Second net was the team of Davis, Roth, Moler and Newman. Third net was the team of Lopez, Hoshaw, Hicks and Bloom.

First gross was the team of Furlong, Perry, Kearns and Smith. Second gross was the team of Haskell, Haskell, Celano and Celano. Third gross was the team of Miller, Miller, Kent and Kent.

Receiving a special award was the all-woman team of Karner, Tierney, Hansen and Propst.

Cart Sponsor Tully's kept golfers refreshed with cool drinks. Hole Sponsors were:
