The Hailey Police Department is investigating a series of car burglaries that have occurred within the past two weeks on the southeast side of the city.

Police Chief Brian McNary said Monday the same culprits are "more than likely" responsible for four vehicle burglaries since May 9, when two skateboards and stereo equipment were stolen from a vehicle parked on Beaver Brook.

The second incident occurred May 14 on Winterhaven Lane. McNary said a witness reported that a "white Jeep Cherokee with two or three males inside" fled the scene with its lights off.

The latest burglaries occurred the night of Friday, May 18, on south Woodside Boulevard, the chief said.

McNary said the thieves have mainly stolen stereo equipment.
