What about BART?

The new consolidated transportation system is looking for a name. So far, four finalist names have been selected: Smart Moves, Connector, B-line, and Lift. These are uninspiring and a yawn and even a question mark as to what they mean or infer.

The most meaningful, recognizable, and simple name is BART, Blaine Area Rapid Transit. Its proud genesis is KART (Ketchum Area Rapid Transit), whose acronym was well devised years ago and has had constant usage and instant recognition within the Wood River Valley. Another name could be BRT ("burt") for BIaine Roadway or Rapid or Region Transport or Transit, but still close to BART.

Not to worry. The acronym BART is not trademarked by the underwater Bay Area Rapid Transit in the San Francisco area.

It would be Smart Moves for the Connector B-fine Lift to be simply named BART or BRT.
